raises funds to offset animal
rescues' veterinary costs, which often account for more than 50% of their operating budget. By relieving rescues of this burden, we can help save millions of animals from euthanasia in shelters.
The fact is that more than 50% of most rescues’ operating budgets are depleted by the staggering cost of providing desperately needed veterinary procedures.
“Real optimism is aware of problems but recognizes solutions; knows about difficulties but believes they can be overcome; sees the negatives, but accentuates the positives…”
-William Arthur Ward
Rescue animals aren’t broken, they’ve simply experienced more life than other animals. If they were human, we would call them wise. Do something. And be proud to have their greatness by your side.
Dogs
12% of homes have 3 or more dogs
On average, homes have 2 dogs
On average, dog guardians spend $248 on veterinary visits annually
Every day in the U.S., 70,000 puppies and kittens are born, yet only 10% of these animals find permanent homes
150...the number of words the average dog understands; 250...the number of words the smartest dogs understand.
Approximately 5 to 7 million companion animals enter animal shelters nationwide every year, and approximately 3 to 4 million are euthanized (60 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats).
Rescue animals have tales to tell and stories to write, they are the ones who have been dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do something. Help to rescue. Volunteer. Foster. Adopt.
“Real optimism… is exposed to the worst but expects the best; has reason to complain, but chooses to smile.”
–William Arthur Ward
